About

I am a current graduate student in the dual degree MA program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (Modern Art History, Theory & Criticism AND Arts Administration & Policy). I am also currently the Administrative Director of the Student Union Galleries (SUGs) at SAIC.

My thesis research began this summer. I am investigating the role of artists on scientific expeditions that focus on climate change. I am primarily focusing on how this work changes public understanding of science. These questions are going to be filtered through the work of Andrea Polli.

Other past projects include co-curating the threewallsSALON series, @work, with Ania Szremski and researching the relationship between art and science for Northwestern University's Center for Talent Development as a research intern.

More info on all of these projects below...

threewallsSALON
http://www.three-walls.org/programs/salons-talks-symposia/
The salon program is an open, topical conversation, where the public is invited to participate in a moderated conversation around current issues in contemporary art practice. SALONS invite a group of respondents to be on hand and part of the discussion, but everyone is welcome to come and be apart of the dialogue.

Project EXCITE
http://www.ctd.northwestern.edu/excite/
Project EXCITE is a collaborative project involving Northwestern University's School of Education and Social Policy through its Center for Talent Development (CTD), Evanston/Skokie School District 65, and Evanston Township High School District (ETHS) 202. The importance of Project EXCITE to the Evanston community is that it addresses the achievement gap existing between minority and non-minority students in the Evanston schools by providing supplemental educational opportunities for minorities who are under-represented in the advanced mathematics and science courses at ETHS. By the end of grade 8, EXCITE students are expected to have completed Algebra I and be prepared for honors-level high school courses in science and mathematics.
